Two car accidents killed two different people. The accidents took place within an hour of each other, one in The Bronx and the other in Brooklyn.

A Brighton Beach woman was hit by a car which seems like it was being driven by a man who a man under the influence of illegal drugs. The police found a syringe with heroin in the car of Ronald Soriano, 27, who was subsequently charged with possession of the drugs which are considered a controlled substance. Whether or not he took the drug before the accident is being investigated by the authorities in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn where the accident took place.

Another car accident which took place an hour earlier in The Bronx claimed one life and injured eight others on Bruckner Boulevard in Soundview. It was an accident between a cab and another car which was part of another livery service. The man who was killed was pinned beneath one of the cars and could not escape before he expired.

A car accident happened on Sunday, March 29, 2009. The incident occurred in Ridge, New York.

On the night of the crash, Nora Uyu, 32, was a passenger in the vehicle her husband, Francisco Top, was driving. They were driving at about a quarter past five along Route 25 when they were hit by an oncoming vehicle. As they were driving westbound, the other vehicle, heading eastbound, came into their lane and hit their truck. The couple was driving a 1994 Toyota pickup truck and Jenise Perna was driving the other car, a 2006 Toyota Corolla, 21, of Shirley.

Uyu, of Riverhead, was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center after the accident. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead. Uyu passed away a few minutes past 6 p.m. that evening.

A car accident occurred on January twenty-seventh, 2009. The accident was located in Smithtown, New York.

At almost eleven a.m on the day of the crash, a man, whose name has not been announced, was just finished with a meal when he got hit by a car. The ninety-one year old man was eating at McDonalds at 614 Middle Country Rd. As he walked outside into the parking lot, a vehicle hit him from behind which made him fall to the floor. The vehicle then drove away immediately.

Because the restaurant was crowded at the time of the accident, witnesses to the accident may not have realized the seriousness of the crash. The elderly man suffered from critical injuries.

A car accidentand crash happened on August 13, 2008. The accident occurred in Rochester, New York.

On the night of the incident, Sandra Arena, 48, was leaving Nasty D’s Bar and Grill when she got into an accident. As she was driving, Arena drove straight into a parking lot filled with pedestrians. She had allegedly gotten into a fight with a few of her friends and was angry over the brawl. Authorities say that this was the reason for the crash although it Is not fully certain.

Arena, of Penfield, killed a man and critically injured four women. The man killed was Chad Coleman, 22. Two of the four women were Arena’s friends.

Mike Sheehan, a former detective who has become a New York Television reporter, got involved in a car accident with a Mounted Policeman. Afterwards he was asked to take a sobriety test and when he refused he was taken into custody. The incident happened in TriBeCa when Sheehan’s car hit the horse.

Sheehan works for Fox News at Channel 5 in New York.

The police officer was injured and taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital where he was treated for an injured leg. The horse took off and was found later on with minor injuries.

A car accident occurred on Tuesday, January 28, 2009. The accident took place in Lindenhurst, New York.

On the night of the accident, Rose Sanchez, 39, of Lindenhurst, was walking between Wellwood Avenue and 51st Street when a truck suddenly hit her. The pedestrian was just departing from the Sunrise Plaza shopping area. The vehicle was a 1997 Toyota Avalon. The driver of the automobile was Eileen Gregory, 19, of Lindenhurst. After the crash, the vehicle was seized for a security check.

Immediately after being hit, Sanchez was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital by an ambulance. After receiving as much medical help as possible, she died within an hour of the accident.

A car accident happened on December 2, 2008. The crash was a two-car accident.

The accident occurred around 9 a.m. Gloria Racz, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was driving her vehicle east on Smith Road when she moved lanes into traffic heading westbound. The traffic was on Dorchester Road. Racz was driving a 2002 Jeep which sideswiped a 2005 Kia Sedona. The vehicle was being driven by Peter Polsunas, of Lake Ronkonkoma.

Two infants were in the Kia at the time of the accident. A three-year-old girl and a two-year-old boy were in the car. The girl received serious injuries from the crash. She was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center for medical treatment. Her injuries have not yet been revealed. Polsunas received treatment and has been released.

A car accident and collision took place on Sunday, February 22, 2009. The accident occurred in Commack, New York.

On Sunday Officer Glen Ciano, 45, was called to help a co-worker with a traffic stop when he was involved in the crash. At about 4:15am, a vehicle crashed into his car. After being hit, Ciano’s car was launched into a traffic pole. This started a fire that surrounded Ciano’s car making it impossible for him to be rescued at that point. The crash was so loud that it was heard a mile away. The driver of the other vehicle was Jose Borbon, 23.

Borbon was charged with driving while intoxicated at the time of the incident. He had been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on January 4. His arraignment for the recent charge is set for Monday, February 23. Police were not sure as to whether or not Borbon had a lawyer to represent him.

An unfortunate car accident occurred on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in Lindenhurst, New York.

Russell Murphy, 53, co-pastor of Amityville Community Church, was involved in a car accident on Tuesday. On his way home, his automobile broke down on Sunrise Highway and he decided to leave it and walk home to his house on Albany Avenue in North Amityville. While on his walk at almost 11 p.m., a 1994 Buick allegedly hit Murphy in the westbound lane by Wellwood Avenue. Kevin Kreutzberg, 18, of Lindenhurst was driving the Buick. After the accident, Kreutzberg immediately dialed 911 and stayed with the pastor. No charges were filed against the driver.

After being struck by the vehicle, Lindenhurst Fire Rescue emerged and took Murphy to Good Samarian Hospital in West Islip. Doctors took care of Murphy and Murphey underwent surgery for his two broken legs. Murphy also had critical injuries in his shoulder, ribs, and lungs.

A car accident took place in Centerport, New York. The accident occurred on January 24, 2009.

In the early morning, Douglas Davis, 44, listed in a business registry as Vice President of Davis Aircraft Products Co. in Bohemia, was driving his automobile along Route 110 in Melville heading northbound. He was driving his GMC pickup and hit a Nissan 200SX. Melissa Scherr, 25, of Valley Stream, was driving the Nissan, 25, of Valley Stream. After the accident, Davis fled the scene.

After being hit, Scherr was brought to a Huntington Hospital. After doctors did everything they could to help her, she died later that day. It is known that her and her boyfriend, Vito Campanelli, had been setting aside money for their wedding.
