A man involved in a vehicular accident was impaled by a metal post when police found him. When officers arrived on the scene, they were surprised that a 3-inch wide metal post from a road sign was sticking from the man’s body. The post was cut from one end of the sign and man was transported to the hospital with a large part of the post still inside his body. The rest of the post was removed during surgery.

The post, said a New York Injury Lawyer, missed all vital organs and was lodged between masses of muscle and tissue. The man was very lucky as the post missed organs such as the bladder and liver by mere inches. The part of the post removed weighed about 11 pounds. While the man will have to undergo a long recovery process, it could have been much worse if the post had hit any of his organs.

The man had been talking to his sister-in-law on his cell phone when he lost control of his pick-up truck and hit the metal post. The man, who had recently lost his job, was enrolling in a local college to learn a new trade. It had been snowing that night which could explain how the man lost control of the pick-up truck so easily.

A 23 year old woman who was flying high on Methamphetamine at 67 miles per hour crashed into a California Highway Patrol officer, last June, killing him instantly, claims a New York Injury Lawyer. The accident left the family of the officer devastated, and the driver who is accused of killing the man behind bars.

This is the same as Drunk Driving. Reports obtained by authorities stated that the family of the victim is now filing civil suits against the woman in addition to the criminal charges being held against her. Police in the Bronx and Brooklyn want to make certain that they send a message that what the woman did was wrong and they state that all of the money that is won in the case will go towards helping others, in particular young people who want to become police officers.

The Lawyer also stated in his report that the widow of the officer who was killed, along with his parents, had filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the woman in addition to a complaint of personal injury and property damage. The woman who killed the officer is still in custody and could face 15 years to life in prison just from the criminal charges filed against her.

The NY City Car Accident Lawyer said that the civil cases will likely result in fines that could become quite steep. Friends and family of the officer say that he was a good man who just wanted to keep people safe. The woman is scheduled to go to trial in San Luis Obispo for her crimes.

Anytime an 18-wheeler is involved in a car wreck, the results are never pretty, said the NY City Car Accident Lawyer. This case is a prime example of a terrible wreck that killed two elderly people; a pastor and his wife. The collision happened at an intersection and involved two semis. Somehow or other, the pastor’s vehicle was caught in between the two trucks and the truck behind them rear ended their car, causing an underride accident.

The police want to know a whole lot more about this accident and are asking anyone with any information to come forward. They want to find out if anyone saw the accident or saw the two trucks just before the accident. Given the fact that the truck behind the car rear-ended them, indicates that he was not paying attention to the road and it may also indicate he was speeding, as the force of the impact shoved the car under the truck in front, commented the New York Injury Lawyer.

Accidents like this are devastating for the family left behind and in this case, the family would likely have a solid wrongful death case to take to a personal injury lawyer. There will be other things that the police all over, including Nassau and Suffolk Counties, want to find out, including what the trucker was doing before the accident. In cases like this where a truck rear-ends another vehicle, you can count on the fact that the driver was not paying attention to driving.

A car crash sent three people, one man and two women, to the hospital for a variety of injuries. While it is unknown the extent of their injuries, both women had to have surgery. The man suffered a few minor injuries, but did not have to have surgery. The women have been listed in stable condition. The man has since been released from the hospital. He was accused of distracted driving. In New York City and Queens this is a common occurrence.

Speeding is the alleged cause for the crash that happened on a Tuesday around 11pm. The man driving the car lost control and crashed into two utility poles. According to a New York Injury Lawyer, it was estimated by police that the car skidded on the road for at least 70 feet before hitting the poles. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. It is unknown how fast the car was traveling at the time. Police officials may be able to estimate the speed of the car by testing the tire tracks and skid marks. Charges may be pending, but so far, no one has been arrested.

It is unclear how road conditions were the night of the accident. Rain soaked roads make traveling at fast speeds very unsafe. It is also unclear if the man was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident, says a New York Car Accident Lawyer. Further investigation is necessary to determine the exact cause of the accident. Police may need to interview witnesses and the driver and passengers to learn more about why the accident occurred.

A group of officers visited the hospital afterward to their condolences. Fortunately, no other vehicles or people were injured in these accidents. Both officers are expected to make full recoveries. The drivers of the cars involved in these accidents did not suffer any injuries. A man driving a semi-truck hit two police patrol cars near Ritzville, Washington. No one was seriously injured, but one of the patrolmen was taken to the local hospital after suffering a few injuries, reports a NY Car Accident Lawyer. It is unclear at this time if the mechanical failure caused this accident or if the man driving the truck is to blame. There was no evidence of alcohol in the accident.

According to a Lawyer, two police patrol cars were sitting side-by-side on U.S. 395 when the accident occurred. The semi-truck went over the center divider and struck both cars. The policeman taken to the hospital has been on the police force for 19 years. The other policeman was not injured. The driver of the truck did not suffer any injuries either. The police are currently looking for any witnesses who may be able to provide additional details into how this accident occurred.

It is not uncommon for accidents like this to occur on major highways like the ones in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The truck could have blown a tire or experienced some other type of malfunction or the driver could have momentarily fallen asleep or was driving too fast. The accident happened on a Sunday around 6pm. After the accident happened, the injured policeman was airlifted to a nearby hospital where his injuries were treated. He is in satisfactory condition. The officer should be released from the hospital soon. He may or may not need additional care once he leaves the hospital. Out-patient care may be necessary depending on the extent of his injuries. In Manhattan and Queens, hospitals are equipped to handle this type of case.

Two men were injured, one of them fatally, in a recent single car accident. The young men were driving an older pickup truck when it went off the road and into a ditch. The vehicle hit a road sign when it went onto the side of the road. Police did not say if the men were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the incident or whether the vehicle had airbags.

One of the young men was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The other young man was hospitalized while receiving treatment for his injuries. His injuries were severe enough that he was later transported to a second hospital to get further treatment.

At the time of this article, the man had been released from the hospital. It was not known if he had been released by his doctor or if he had left the hospital against doctor’s orders, states a New York Car Accident Law Firm. Because of the severity of the injuries, the young man will probably require long term medical care, although the exact nature of his injuries was unknown at this time.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has been gathering research based on analysis and crash tests that show evidence supporting the fact, that if you were to whack your vehicle into the back of a truck trailer, you would most likely die very quickly. A NY Car Accident Lawyer expands, that the center of the problem is based around the simple fact that cars are low and trailers are rather high. A bus accident would cause the same damage.

A car rides typically lower, which allows the full force of the accident to penetrate the windshield and roof pillars that protect the passenger compartment. This problem creates one of the fastest ways to not only die, but more specifically lose your head entirely. A New York Car Accident Lawyer reveals that the under-ride guards on trucks often fail in low speed crashes as well. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is fighting for stronger under-guard rails on both trucks and trailers, to be mandated by the federal government.

A New York Injury Lawyer shares how the front passenger compartment of most vehicles crushes instantly when the under-guard rails fail. You may be driving an incredibly safe vehicle, with impeccable crash test ratings, but the scary truth is that if you are in an accident with a truck or trailer where the under-guard rails fail, you could be killed. This is a very frightening thought, when you search for a car that will be ultimately safe for you and your entire family. It is impossible to be safe from every danger, but if the federal government decides that stronger under-guard rails should be a necessary measure, many lives could in turn be saved. Companies in New York City and Staten Island are looking for ways to prevent these injuries.
