Two drivers were injured in a car accident on the Garden State Parkway. The driver of one car, a 77-year-old man was driving northbound on the Parkway in the early morning hours. He lost control of his 2008 Nissan Pathfinder and rear-ended a 2000 Toyota Tacoma. A Brooklyn resident was trying to cross a busy six-lane intersection in Starrett City, Brooklyn NY, when a passing car struck him. A woman and her son were walking on West 230th Street and Broadway when a traffic sign struck them. The two were struck when a car knocked over a pedestrian traffic sign. Former New Jersey Nets star was involved in an accident. His SUV struck a tree in Manhattan. Jayson refused to submit to a sobriety test on the scene of the accident, which occurred at approximately 3 AM. A city cop was attempting to write a citation on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. The driver of the car was being cited for drunk driving. The officer was only identified as a twenty-seven year old who worked the Manhattan South Task Force.
